| I Would Describe Myself As | I was raised in NJ. I enlisted in the Air Force after graduation from high school. Two weeks later was accepted to college-too late, I was now the property of Uncle Sam. I received an appointment to the Air Force’s Aviation Cadet Program and started pilot training. I was commissioned a 2nd Lt. and awarded pilot wings in June of 1959; (Hence the Propwash01 user id). I left the Air Force and was hired by a major airline in October 1968. I retired from the Air Force Reserve and the airline in 1997. I have one Daughter, a son-in-law whom I love, twin 12yr old grandchildren-a boy and girl. They live about 15 minutes away. Close, yet far enough. I enjoy very much spending time with them, As you can see by my photos, I enjoy fishing. I could sit in the boat for hours, listening to classical music; and could care less if fish were caught. I must admit however, I would be disappointed if didn’t catch a few for dinner. I would like a First Mate who would like to help handle the boat and might enjoy feeding the fish. I often do the cooking but only occasionally gourmet; primarily due to the work involved. It finally dawned on me that I would never get better at golf; however, I still play. Facial hair usually appears after a weeklong trip “up north” and disappears a month or so later-it's gone now. At six feet two inches, I’m not really carrying an extra 40 pounds; I’m just six or eight inches too short. I’ll tell you more if we meet. For now, Propwash01 |
